My dad was on the Superb 1956-1957, and talks fondly of Mombasa re east Indies.His name is Harold Brookes (Yorkie, nickname) one of his good mates was Ginger (Tony) Thornton.

I was a national serviceman O.S on the SUPERB from march 1956 to March 1957.My Killick was Johnson along with Nobby Clark, Eldridge, Austen, Groom etc.I joined Field Guns Crew for 1957 run.
Any others out there?

My father was on the HMS Superb 50 – 52, he was in the marines. He was Henry (Harry) Cunningham. I have a copy of his records but they don’t tell me a lot. I know he went to South America. He died in 1999 in NZ
